We Will Be Winners...

i was listening to the song Winners by K's Choice for like five hours nonstop yesterday (no exaggeration). i heard the lines, "we will be winners/our heads glued together/and all is/indefinite in you". they stuck in my head, and i had images of luna and shadow throughout the whole song...so the music enraptured me and i went into an artistic trance, setting down to draw this as soon as i got off the computer. i stayed glued to my desk and this sheet of paper until like 11:00pm...when i had almost finished it...i used my "good" pencil crayons...but i don't really like the effect...i actually don't like the way this one turned out...the colouring's quite horrible...and i messed up their poses...the quick sketch i drew was actually better...anyway..about the pic..

luna and shadow are supposed to be standing with their "heads glued together". they hold each other's hands...and gaze into each other's eyes...exchanging a meaningful, almost worried glance...i've sorta been influenced to these lovey-dovey couple pics because of Jack and Wendy from The Shining. (it's a GREAT book--i can't put it down). i find that jack and wendy have a relationship quite similar to shadow and luna's in their married life, although it's not so...tense...the worry and concern in their expression can sorta refer back to context of the song, "we will be winners". i sort of took this as "we will be parents", as mildly inferred by the rest of the song. the worry passes between them as they are unsure if they are ready for such responsibilities, and the shock of the increased bond they now share. wow..O.o seems like i know this sentimental couple stuff a little too much...no, i'm not married, and no, i don't have a kid (thank goodness). only fifteen, thank you! i've just been too captivated by The shining, i think...
